SHAM marriages dominated the Dáil yesterday.

But, strangely, John Gormley – the man who put the sham into shameless – was nowhere to be seen as his call for cross party consensus sunk faster than the economy.

With voters viewing the Greens’ cohabitation with Fianna Fáil as the ultimate example of living in sin, Mr Gormley has been desperate to play the field of late.
