Teacher assaulted by ex-pupil at 50th birthday party

A TEACHER celebrating her 50th birthday was assaulted by a former pupil who was among a crowd of youths who tried to gatecrash the party.

Last August, six men pleaded guilty to violent disorder at Limerick Circuit Court. They were NoelAhern, aged 22, of Griffith Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston; Kieran Cummins, aged 23, of Meadowvale Close, Raheen; Jason O’Callaghan, aged 19, of the Orchard, Huntsfield, Dooradoyle; Stuart Zheng, aged 21, of Chancel Drive, Churchill Meadows, Raheen; Thomas Freeman, aged 21, formerly of O’Malley Park, Southill and Daniel Harris, aged 23, of Aisling Heights, Raheen.

Gardaí were called to a house at Ballinvoher, Fr Russell Road, Raheen, at about 3.30am on May 26, 2007.
