A MAN was fighting for his life last night after being assaulted at his home in Limerick.

Joseph (Joey) O’Donnell, 48, was found unconscious with serious head wounds in the sitting room of his home at Hyde Road, Prospect, at around 10am.

A 22-year-old man was arrested by Roxboro Road gardaí as part of their inquiries into the assault.
