Turkish man charged over damage to kebab house

A TURKISH national accused of causing criminal damage to a kebab outlet in Cork city centre was brought before Cork District Court yesterday.

The case followed reports of a three-hour stand-off between gardaí and a man who allegedly had petrol with him at Istanbul, 75 Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork on Thursday night.

Kiyasettin Gungor, 44, was charged by Detective Garda Darragh Murray with an offence under the Criminal Damage Act.
