Plucky Cavan man keeps record title

A TURKEY plucker, a giant gooseberry and the world’s smallest cow are just some of the record-breakers that have made it into the latest Guinness World Records book.

Plucky Cavan man keeps record title

Among the records in this year’s book, which is in its 55th year, are the Longest-lasting Lightning Storm (on Saturn for eight months) the Longest Hair (18 feet, 5 inches) and the World’s Shortest Man (Edward Hernandez who measures just 70cm).

Irish record-breakers in the 2011 edition include Limerick man Simon Baker, who holds the record for being the Fastest Marathon Runner on Crutches after clocking in at six hours and 47 minutes – smashing the record by 26 minutes.
