Plan to monitor EU job vacancies

WHILE Ireland’s youth unemployment numbers climb closer to 100,000, there are some four million job vacancies in the European Union and a plan has been unveiled to create a European Vacancy Monitor to make them more accessible.

The European Commission will help put jobseekers in touch with potential employers across the 27 member states. They also plan to provide finance for young entrepreneurs to set up their own businesses.
