Man died from drugs cocktail

Gavin O’Regan died in his sleep in bed next to his girlfriend at their home on Wrixon’s Lane, Blackpool, Cork city, on October 2, 2009. Though he had consumed methadone, death was attributed to polydrug use, the combination of a number of central nervous system depressants, with benzodiazepines, citalopram and temazepam in his system.

Coroner Dr Myra Cullinane returned a verdict of death by misadventure.
