IRISH cycling legend Sean Kelly will lead a field of 1,750 cyclists including sports stars, TV and showbiz personalities for Ireland’s first-ever closed-road mass participation event.

Cyclists from throughout Ireland, Britain, USA and Europe have gathered in Clare for the inaugural Sky Ride Etape Hibernia, which will get under way at 7am tomorrow and covering a 130km course.

Dozens of roads will be closed from early morning for the event, while diversions have been set up over a wide area.
