Gardaí suspect remains are those of missing Dubliner

GARDAÍ expect to have formal identification of skeletal remains found in a wooded area of Co Wicklow in the coming days.

Investigators suspect they are those of Dubliner Paul Byrne, a 21-year-old who went missing over a year ago, leaving behind his pregnant partner and a toddler.

Dental tests and specialist examination by a forensic anthropologist this week are expected to provide official confirmation.
