Woman settles €38k claim for bikini wax rash

A WOMAN who suffered severe rash burns to her armpits and groin following a bikini wax, has settled a €38,000 damages claim against a beauty salon owner.

Suzanne Kelly, of Broadway Drive, Clonsilla, Co Dublin, claimed she broke out in a painful nettle-type rash which had swollen in the affected areas.

She sued Rosemary Duffy, who trades as So Belle beauty rooms in the Ashleigh Centre at Main Street, Castleknock, Co Dublin. A full denial of negligence had been entered by defence barrister Conor Kearney.
