A HIGH-PROFILE Limerick figure last night sparked political outrage after he appeared on a court prison video link with his face partially masked by a bandana mask and making a finger gestures to the camera.

Gerard Dundon, aged 24, of Hyde Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick, is charged with committing violent disorder at Sarsfield Avenue, Garryowen, on February 17 last.

When he appeared by video link from Limerick prison to Limerick District Court yesterday, he was clearly wearing a bandana.
