FANCY a new house for €999.99, or for even 1c?

A developer has come up with a way of promoting his estate, by offering a house for less than €1,000.

The Rosslare Community Development Association (RCDA) in Wexford is offering the opportunity to buy a new house – No 83 in Elderwood, Castlebridge – for less than €1,000. The house will be sold to the highest bidder.

The RCDA is a community-based charity that provides sporting educational and social facilities in Rosslare. Noonan Construction Limited has donated No 83 Elderwood, in Castlebridge Co Wexford, to RCDA.

Anyone who wants to tender for the house must make a donation of more than €100 to RCDA.

Prior to the recession Noonan Construction promised they would build a running track for RCDA, and although they were unable to do this, by offering the house RCDA hope to raise enough for the track.

Offers must be between €0.01 cent and up to and including €999.99. All tenders must reach John W Corish Auctioneers by August 29, 2010.
