Researchers to dish the dirt on Ireland’s kitchen sinks
Safefood, the all-island body for promoting food safety and nutrition advice, is looking for researchers to scour kitchen sinks and worktops to find out whether the nation’s dishcloths are a help or a hindrance in keeping preparation surfaces and utensils clean.
The study into “the microbiological status of household dishcloths and associated consumer hygiene practices” is expected to turn up some grubby little secrets, given the results of earlier investigations.
