Woman gets €45k after boss put nude pictures in office

A WOMAN was paid €45,000 in compensation by the Equality Authority after she took a case against her boss at a security company for making lewd and offensive comments to her, hanging a picture of a naked woman in her office and touching her inappropriately in the workplace.

The complainant, who was hired as a junior office assistant, said that she did not want to be on her own in her office with her boss.

She claimed that Mr A, who owned the company, regularly asked her to go out of the office with him but she refused. The woman began to suffer work-related stress because of the situation and “was very careful about the way she dressed” in the office.
