Aer Lingus deal may end threats of strike action

NEW terms and conditions hammered out between Aer Lingus and its staff could consign strike threats to the past.

The new Register Employment Agreement in the airline commits the sides to a detailed level of consultation and arbitration when disputes arise.

Only after a four-step consultation process has been exhausted can industrial action be taken.
