A LUAS driver has been charged in connection with a crash with a double decker bus in Dublin city centre, the Court Service confirmed yesterday.

Oriyomi Emmanuel appeared before Dublin District Court, where he was accused of dangerous driving causing serious harm to Suzanne Cribbon.

The 37-year-old driver was also charged with operating the tram in a manner which posed a risk to others.

The accident happened on September 16 at the corner of Abbey Street and O’Connell Street and involved the number 16 bus to Santry and the Luas from Tallaght.
