Louis: Send Jedward to claim back our Eurovision glory

POP mogul Louis Walsh believes the only way for Ireland to reclaim Eurovision glory is to send young talent like Jedward to Germany next year.

After Niamh Kavanagh’s disappointing fourth-last finish in Oslo on Saturday – despite a flawless performance of It’s For You – the country’s Eurovision fanatics were once again asking what we need to do to emulate past victories.

But Walsh blamed state broadcaster RTÉ for not putting the right effort into the selection process – and said his own young clients might be just the ones to answer our prayers.
