THE union representing the bulk of staff at VHI has said its priority is to ensure that staff levels at the company are maintained following any sale.

“Our members at VHI have performed exceptionally in a very competitive environment in recent years,” said Unite regional officer Colm Quinlan.

“It is due to their efforts that the company is in a good position to be sold, but our primary concern in talking with the company, with government, and with potential investors will be to maintain the current level of jobs around the country,” he said.
