Air Ambulance in 31 missions

THE Air Corps have conducted 31 Air Ambulance missions since 1 January 2010.

In the past 72 hours alone, six Air Ambulance missions have been flown by the Air Corps, including five to Britain.

Air Ambulance missions are carried out in accordance with a Service Level Agreement which exists between the Department of Defence and the Department of Health and Children. Such missions include the transfer of organ retrieval and transplant teams as well as acutely ill patients between various locations.
