THE range of topics Gerry Ryan covered throughout his career was reflected in his final radio and TV programmes this week.

On Thursday night, RTÉ One aired the second in the latest series of Ryan Confidential as Heather Mills, ex-model and ex-wife of Paul McCartney gave the 53-year-old broadcaster a candid interview.

Apart from exploring her relationship with and split from the ex-Beatle, she opened up to Ryan about her early career, the accident in which she lost a leg, and her plans for the future with her daughter Beatrice, whom she had with McCartney after believing for years she could never have children.
