Man, 35, charged with raping woman in public toilets

A 35-YEAR OLD man was charged at a special sitting of Kanturk District Court on Thursday night with a rape in the north Cork town last month.

The man, an Eastern European national, was charged with raping the woman in public toilets on Church Street, Kanturk, on March 9. The court was told the man replied “No” after the charge was put to him. Judge Tim Lucey remanded the accused in custody to appear again next Wednesday.
