Former MEP Ryan received biggest donations

FORMER Fianna Fáil MEP Eoin Ryan received the highest amount of political donations last year, followed closely by Labour MEP Proinsias de Rossa.

Mr Ryan, who failed in his bid to be re-elected to the European Parliament last June, declared €22,300 to the State’s ethics watchdog.

Mr de Rossa, who successfully retained his seat, declared €21,316.47.
