Property tycoon Ronan takes time out

IT appears that the stress associated with being the number one 55-year-old multimillionaire that 20-something Irish models can’t get enough of has finally got to property tycoon, Johnny Ronan.

Property tycoon Ronan takes time out

The Treasury Holdings Director issued a press statement last afternoon stating that he is “taking a break from business activities” for the next few months due to “recent high-profile media coverage of aspects of his personal life”.

“Johnny Ronan is to take a break from his business activities for the next few months arising from the recent high profile media coverage of aspects of his personal life which he believes has the potential to distract attention from his business interests,” the statement read.

“His decision will not affect the day-to-day operation of Treasury Holdings, of which he is a director and shareholder, and which has operated under a management team and board of directors headed by managing director John Bruder for the past five years. His own personal business interests will continue to be managed by their entirely separate management team,” the statement added.

Ronan and Dublin-based model and Exposé presenter, Glenda Gilson have had a fiery on-off relationship for five years. Their most recent passionate outburst has been dubbed the ‘Rumble in Ranelagh’ after the two had a very public row outside McSorley’s pub after the Ireland/England rugby game two weeks ago.

A day later, the developer and former Miss World, Rosanna Davison made a spur-of-the moment decision to fly by private jet to a five star hotel in Marrakech in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Both Rosanna and Glenda were due to attend the VIP Style Awards in Dublin last night but Rosanna failed to appear on the red carpet, fearing a public clash with her friend. She didn’t turn up at Gilson’s 29th birthday last week either. Rosanna has long protested that nothing happened in Marrackech and that she and Ronan are “old friends”.
