Dylan to play Limerick

AS Thomond Park rugby tickets get hotter, along comes news of the biggest concert gig in Ireland this year.

Dylan to play Limerick

Music legend Bob Dylan is to pack the Limerick venue on July 4. The concert was yesterday confirmed by promoter Peter Aiken and tickets go on sale at 9am next Monday, priced €60-€81.25.

Mr Aiken, who brought Elton John and Rod Stewart to Thomand Park last year, said: “It’s going to be big. People will come from all over to see him. When you think about how credible he is, you just have to look at his 2008 album Modern Times, which was No 1 in the US.”

Thomond Park stadium manager John Cantwell said: “It is fantastic... you cannot simply do any better.”

Dylan is the second big name announced for Thomond Park this summer, with Pink booked for the venue in June.
