FF TDs object to Greens getting extra junior ministry

FIANNA Fáil TDs have made clear their opposition to coalition partners the Greens getting an extra junior minister in the forthcoming reshuffle.

It comes as former Green senator Déirdre de Búrca launched another stinging attack on the party, accusing the leadership of growing too fond of political office.

Last week, it was reported the Greens had put in place a “rotation pact” prior to entering Government in 2007 which would see party leader John Gormley step down as Environment Minister in mid-term to allow party whip Ciarán Cuffe a spell in Cabinet.
