Apology and retraction – Liam and Finola Fahey

In an article published in the Irish Examiner on February 11, we incorrectly reported that the Briar Rose Restaurant and Pub had gone into liquidation.

The Briar Rose is owned and operated by Liam and Finola Fahey who had previously let the bar and restaurant to Robert McCarthy and John Hickey, a letting which was terminated by Mr and Mrs Fahey following breaches of the lease.

Neither Mr nor Mrs Fahey have, or ever had, anything to do with BR Bar and Bistro Ltd nor have they, or any company with which they are connected, been served with a winding up petition.
