Garda house raids result in biggest haul of heroin this year

THE biggest haul of heroin so far this year was made on Tuesday night when gardaí raided two houses in west Dublin.

Gardaí said the drug cache had an estimated street value of around €1.2 million.

While gardaí declined to specify the quantity seized, the valuation would suggest around 6kgs, based on a standard Garda street price of €200,000 per kilo.
