A 17-YEAR-OLD was being questioned by gardaí in Limerick yesterday in connection with a drive-by shooting near Thomond Park, last Saturday night.

A man sitting in a car received shotgun pellet wounds to the head.

He was treated at the regional hospital.

Gardaí suspect the victim, who was recently released from prison, was targeted because he is a close relative of the Collopy family, one of whom, Philip Collopy, accidentally shot himself with a handgun.
