TV3 to put a spring in our step

THE country is still creaking under the strain of winter weather but TV3 yesterday tried to brighten the mood with the launch of its spring schedule.

The broadcaster announced its schedule at a reception held in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin and promised to broaden its appeal after a successful year in 2009.

The new schedule is spearheaded by a spin-off from TV3’s popular The Apprentice, with The Celebrity Apprentice likely to see contestants competing for the favour of Bill Cullen. The sister programme, The Celebrity Apprentice: You’re Fired, will be hosted by a new presenter following Brendan O’Connor’s move to RTÉ.
