Garda probe into death of newborn

GARDAÍ were yesterday continuing to examine a house in north Dublin where a 10-day-old baby spent his final hours before suffering fatal head injuries.

The newborn, John McCarthy, had travelled to Lusk with his parents from their home in Navan on Thursday night.

At around midnight the baby was rushed to the emergency department of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda by his mother and three men.
