Gardaí warn of perilous road conditions

The accident, in which 18 other people were injured, happened on the N11 near Gorey, as 19 post office staff from Enniscorthy were travelling to the Leopardstown races at around 10am.

An ambulance called to the scene skidded and overturned and gardaí said there were a number of other collisions as drivers tried to avoid the initial accident, causing a pile-up on both northbound and southbound lanes of the N11.
