THE Irish public have shown their great generosity and kindness once again.

Charity ‘overwhelmed’ by flood appeal response

The St Vincent de Paul (SVP) revealed how eight warehouses around the country have been filled “from floor to ceiling” with donations following an appeal for household items for flood victims.

SVP president Mairead Bushnell said the society had been inundated with items such as beds, linen and other household goods from donors.
