Kingdom may end up at bottom of national broadband table

KERRY may be in the No 1 position in relation to Gaelic football but it could end up at the bottom of the national broadband league.

High-speed internet access is targeted to be available in all rural areas countrywide by September 2010, but not in the Kingdom.

Only 5,400 homes of the 48,000 in Kerry have broadband, according to the latest Central Statistics Office report.
