Crunch talks bid to avert further strikes

THE Government and trade unions will begin intensive talks tomorrow to try and avert further, more prolonged strike action than that which is grinding services across the country to a halt today.

The 24-hour strike which up to 250,000 workers began this morning, has affected almost all aspects of public service provision, including:
