Concerns over well being of Fr Sinnott

MAJOR concerns remain about the wellbeing of Fr Michael Sinnott despite the release of a video by his kidnappers in the Philippines at the weekend, according to Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin.

The footage of the 79-year-old holding a newspaper from the previous Saturday was the first confirmation that he remains alive and that he is in relatively good health.

The Wexford native was taken from the centre where he worked with the Columban missionaries in Pagadian City on October 11.
