Among those lending support to the charity’s Halloween challenge quiz are GAA star Seán Óg O hAilpín, Lisa Cummins, the first Irish swimmer to complete a two-way crossing of the English Channel, and soccer player Neal Horgan from Cork City FC.

Hosted by Gameshow Ireland at the Imperial Hotel on South Mall tomorrow night, the celebrities will take to the podiums for the first round, after which up to 20 contestants will be randomly drawn from the audience to compete for a selection of prizes.

They include €500, two return flights to Bristol, car ferry voucher from Ireland to Britain, tickets to see Thriller at the O2 in Dublin, with access to the VIP lounge and overnight accommodation at the Fitzwilliam Hotel.

A spokesperson for the Cork Deaf Association said the charity was currently extending services to include increased support for deafblind people in Cork city and county.

The charity said it relies heavily on fundraising to continue and develop services and hoped to see wide support for The Halloween Challenge.

The Halloween Challenge starts at 8pm in the Imperial Hotel.
