Students score coup as Fisk to speak on Middle East

A STUDENT society has pulled off a major coup by securing one of the world’s best known journalists for an address in Cork next month.

The Independent’s Middle East correspondent, Robert Fisk, a seven-time winner of the International Journalist of the Year award, will discuss the relationship between the West and Islam at the University College Cork (UCC) Law Society’s lecture on November 4.

He will be interviewed on stage afterwards by Irish Examiner columnist Stephen King. The event is supported by A&L Goodbody.
