Ray Treacy Travel to close

THE final whistle has been blown on one of the country’s best known travel agencies, Ray Treacy Travel, following the decision of its owner to retire from business.

Mr Treacy, 63, a former soccer international whose business has enjoyed a long-term association with the Irish football team, announced yesterday that the travel agency which bears his name will close down later this month.

The agency is familiar to thousands of soccer supporters for organising trips to away soccer games involving Irish teams through its long-term role as the FAI’s official travel partner.
