Taoiseach’s unpopularity targeted

NO campaigners last night targeted the personal unpopularity of Brian Cowen in a last ditch bid to bury the Lisbon Treaty.

Taoiseach’s unpopularity targeted

Libertas’s Declan Ganley unveiled the group’s final poster of the campaign showing the Taoiseach with the tag line: Three more years of Cowen or three more days: this time make them listen, Vote No.

The move was intended to try and shift attention away from the rights and wrongs of the treaty and turn tomorrow’s poll into a referendum on Mr Cowen’s 16 months in office.
