Free events draw 500,000 to celebrate fourth Culture Night

HALF a million arts lovers were expected to have turned out last night for a host of free cultural events across the country.

Now in its fourth year, Culture Night saw venues in 11 cities and towns throwing open their doors for an evening of music, poetry, theatre and dance.

Participating areas included Dublin, Cork, Tralee and Waterford.
