Former pupils of Sexton Street CBS receive scholarships

SPORTSMAN and entrepreneur JP McManus last night handed out scholarships worth €216,000 to eight students from his old school, Sexton Street CBS in Limerick, to help them pursue third-level qualifications.

Former pupils of Sexton Street CBS receive scholarships

The scholarships, initiated by Mr McManus in 1997, go to the eight students who attain the top results in their Leaving Cert at the school.

Each scholarship is worth €6,750 a year for four years and payments to date total €1.48 million.
