Gardaí search for missing children

It is believed the four brothers and sisters were last seen with their mother when they disappeared from their school and another city centre location on Tuesday.

Searches are continuing in south Dublin and Kildare for the four, aged between eight and 16.

Gardaí believe Peter Collins and his siblings Edward, Lorna and Jason are with their mother Ann Collins. Contact has been made with her friends in Dun Laoghaire and other areas of south Dublin but has shed no light on where the children may be now.

Descriptions of the Collins children were released yesterday by the Garda Press Office.

Peter, 16, is of slight build, approximately 5’8” tall with dark brown hair and was last seen on Tuesday just after 1pm on Parnell Road in Dublin city centre.

Edward, 13, is also slight, approximately 5’6” tall with dark brown hair and was last seen at the same location at 3.23pm.

Lorna, 10, is slight, 4’ 10” tall with blonde hair. She was last seen on Tuesday at school in Crumlin.

Jason, 8, is slight, around 4’6” with dark brown hair and also last seen at the same school on Tuesday.

It is believed the four did not leave by private vehicle.

Anyone with any details is asked to contact gardaí at Sundrive Road on 01 6666600.
