Accused out on bail
Brian Shivers, from Magherafelt in Co Derry, was released from prison in order to receive specialist treatment for Cystic Fibrosis.
British soldiers Mark Quinsey, 23, from Birmingham, and Patrick Azimkar, 21, from London, were shot dead and five other people were injured in the attack on 7 March.
Yesterday a judge at Belfast High Court granted Shivers conditional bail, despite acknowledging his risk of re-offending.
Lord Justice Coghlin ruled Shivers should be released under tight conditions because he could not be assured the proper medical safeguards were in place within the jail.
