THE Nissan Primera which was involved in a fatal hit and run early on Sunday in Castleconnell, Co Limerick, was a “company car”.

Gardaí suspect the vehicle was bought recently by a group of youths for €500. Tom O’Shea, a 40-year-old father of one, was hit by the Nissan Primera as he was getting into a car driven by his daughter after a night out socialising in Castleconnell.

The accident happened at around 3am and Mr O’Shea died two hours later at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital.
