What began as a night out for workers has gained national attention, finds Niamh Hennessy.

SKINNY-dipping at 3am, guzzling a bottle of whiskey in 10 minutes and watching boy-racers is about as mad as it gets in Ballybunion on a Monday night.

This summer has seen hundreds of youngsters, from Mullingar to Millstreet, descend on the seaside village in Kerry for what has become known as Monday Night Madness.
