PROPERTY developer Liam Carroll made the error of failing to provide details of a rescue plan for his troubled business empire during an unsuccessful application for court protection last month due to stress, the High Court heard yesterday.

Lawyers admitted that Mr Carroll had ignored his own legal advice and the opinion of his fellow directors in withholding such a report as evidence in the case.

The report claims Mr Carroll’s main construction group, Zoe Developments, could turn a €1.1m deficit into a €300m surplus within the space of three years due to an expected upturn in the property market.
