TWO youths used a chainsaw to try and cut through a post office in a terrifying attempted robbery yesterday.

Staff looked on in horror as one of the raiders pulled out a con-saw – used to cut through concrete – and then tried to saw through the secure door at the front office as the second raider brandished what appeared to be a firearm at staff.

The terrifying raid took place at the post office on Church Road in East Wall, in Dublin’s north inner city yesterday morning.
