THE HSE is planning to scrap some of its laptops after admitting they are not all security encrypted.

An internal HSE circular from last September sent by the executive’s chief executive Prof Brendan Drumm complained that just 1,000 of the HSE’s 6,000 laptops had been encrypted.

Latest figures from the HSE show that 5,500 have now been encrypted.
