Average house price down €70k from 2007 peak

THE price of an average house has fallen by €70,000, from a peak of two years ago, with values likely to slide further, according to the latest report.

Within the first six months of this year, alone, the average house price was down €20,000.

And the trend of falling prices, it emerged, is likely to continue.
