RYANAIR has complained to the European Commission about the Government’s €10 tax on air travel.

The news comes as the airline is expected to announce this morning it is pulling more routes from Dublin and Shannon airports, likely resulting in further job losses. Ryanair is expected to blame the travel tax for the cuts.

It has repeatedly called on the Government to scrap the tax, saying it has resulted in “the collapse of Irish tourism”.
